Practice Behavior
- Swimmers are encouraged to support their teammates at practice as well as in competition. Working together as a unit for the benefit of the team is an important part of the “Edina Spirit”.
- All athletes are expected to follow the oral directions of the coaching staff. At no time will disrespectful attitudes be tolerated from any swimmer.
- Abusive or profane language, lying, stealing and vandalism, are not acceptable. The behaviors are directly contrary to the ESC philosophy and are detrimental enough to the group to warrant strict disciplinary action. Such action can range from “time out” to dismissal from the team.
- The coach must be notified at the start of practice if the swimmer plans to leave practice early.
- ESC strives to be a good tenant of each facility used. Therefore, unsupervised playing inside or outside at the facility is not allowed. This includes: running, climbing, ball playing, and other exuberant activities
