We suggest all potential families read the "Dues and Fees" information which is posted under Club Info on this website. The dues and fees tab will also show you the dates/duration of each season. Also click here for details regarding meet fees, family fundraising commitments, etc. Click on the Schedule tab on the home page of the website and then "All Teams" to see the tentative practice schedule for fall and winter 2010.

BASIC TRYOUT INFORMATION
Tryouts for all prospective new swimmers are held twice per year (mid-April and mid-September), and they are called “Splash Night.” Splash night is for boys and girls ages 6 and up. Swimmers should come to the pool wearing their swimsuit. Parents must accompany swimmers. Prerequisites for team placement are: swim 25 yards each of freestyle (crawl) and backstroke, and also be able to float face-up and face-down. Swimmers should also be able to demonstrate rhythmic breathing while standing.
Team placement (Gator I, Gator II, Gator II Plus, Gator III, Junior Prep, Junior or Senior) will be determined based on swimming skill. 99% of swimmers who tryout with the Gators are placed on the team!! All NEW swimmers will begin practice on the Wednesday following Splash Night. Tentative practice schedule is under "Schedule/All Teams" on the public home page. Monthly calendars for the new season for each team will be posted approximately thirty days prior to the first day of practice.
Parents will need to fill out a registration form at Splash Night. Please bring doctor phone numbers, emergency contact (other than parents) phone numbers and all home, work and cell phone numbers for parents. Please be prepared to write a deposit check at Splash Night!!

Gator I will pay dues in full at Splash Night. A $300.00 down payment check is required at Splash Night for Gator II thru Senior. All swimmers - Gator I thru Senior - will be billed for additional dues and $55.00 USA Swimming registration fee after Splash Night. (USA Swimming registration required for every swimmer.) Your Splash Night deposit will be applied to your balance due. NO refunds made to any swimmer (Gator I through Senior) after the start of the season.
- Winter Short Course Season (27 weeks) – mid September to mid-March
- Full Summer Long Course Season (16 weeks) – mid April to end of July
- Spring Only - mid April to first or second week of June
- Summer Only - first week of June end of July
