Edina Masters Summer Swimming Information
Who we are: Edina Masters are a group of former collegiate swimmers, tri-athletes, those new to the sport, and people who just love to swim!
What we offer: Edina Masters caters to all levels of masters swimmers. Practices run five days a week with an emphasis on different types of training everyday. Swimmers are encouraged to do the workouts the coached provide for them. This summer we will offer a practice with more intense interval training for the more experienced swimmers as well as practice that will be for individual paces for the less experienced swimmers. We typically stick to a schedule of, Monday- drill and aerobic, Tuesday- aerobic workout with shorter distances, Wednesday- focus on the non-free strokes, back, breast, butterfly, and IM, Thursday- aerobic workout with longer distances, and Friday- sprint/anaerobic. We swim about 2800-3500 meters each day. Stroke technique is constantly worked on. Masters also have the opportunity for competition in any of the Minnesota State Masters swim meets held every month.
When we swim : Edina Masters swims from 6:00-7:15AM Monday through Friday when we swim indoors at Valley View or South View.
In the summer - beginning around June 1 through the third week in August - Edina Masters swims at the Edina Aquatic Center, 4300 West 66th Street, Edina 55436 6:00-7:00AM.

Fees: $60 per month
$60 punch card - ten practices to be used any time during the year
Full year fee - $375.00
Drop in fee is no longer available - must purchase punch card
Fees may be sent to the Edina Swim Club office or given to the coaches at the pool.
Coaches: Jeff Rodriguez and Erik Witzel will be coaching masters. Questions regarding Masters - please send an e-mail to Jeff Rodriguez at jeff@edinaswim.com. Edina Masters are affiliated with USA Masters Swimming, swimmers must register with USA Swimming once a year (for insurance purposes).
