Fundraisers
The Edina Swim Club is a non profit organization and relies on fundraisers as a key part of our overall budget.
Poinsettia Team Family Commitment
All families (excluding Gator I) are required to participate in the winter short course (Odtober/November) poinsettia family commitment. Families must sell thirty poinsettia plants in order to fulfill the $150.00 family commitment. Sales of 15 to 29 plants will meet a "partial" commitment - requiring a balance owed of $100.00 which will be invoiced to these families. Families who sell 0 to 15 plants will be invoiced $150.00.

Meet Volunteering - required for Gator II through Senior Teams
The Edina Swim Club typically will host two swim meets per year.
1) Winter Meet - This meet will be held during the winter short course season (mid-September to mid-March). If your swimmer is swimming during BOTH seasons (winter and spring/summer), your family is required to work at both hosted meets. Gator I swimmers do not swim at meets, therefore, Gator I parents who do not have another swimmer on the Edina Swim Club are not required to volunteer. Parents are required to work at the winter meet regardless if your swimmer is eligible to swim at the meet or not.
The Edina Swim Club team family commitment for winter season requires commitment for a minimum of two volunteer sessions per family. We encourage volunteers to register for sessions during which they have a child swimming. If your swimmer is not eligible to swim at the meet - you may sign up for any sessions. Families not working at the winter meet will be billed a $200.00 team family commitment immediately following the meet.
2) Spring/Summer Meet - Our second meet will be held during the spring/summer season (mid-April to August 1). If your swimmer is swimming spring or spring/summer, your family is required to work at the spring/summer meet. Gator I swimmers do not swim at meets, therefore, Gator I parents who do not have another swimmer on the Edina Swim Club are not required to volunteer. Parents are required to work at spring/summer meet regardless if your swimmer is eligible to swim at the meet or not.
The Edina Swim Club team family commitment for spring/summer season requires commitment to work two sessions or one session (depending on the size of the meet). We encourage volunteers to register for sessions during which they have a child swimming. If your swimmer is not eligible to swim at the meet - you may sign up for any sessions. Families not working at the spring/summer meet will be billed $200.00 (or $100.00 depending on the size of the meet) team family commitment immediately following the meet.
Volunteers who do not sign up by the required deadline will be assigned to positions that might still be available. If all positions are full, the family will be billed the designated team family commitment shown above
