Welcome to the Gators!!
Please read the information below to understand the billing process for Gators.
Dues and Fees
Swimmers registering for the annual year (in September) will receive a substantial discount from those swimmers registering for winter and adding any portion of summer after September. The Edina Swim Club does not offer pro-rating of dues.
Short Course with High School is for swimmers who participate in other fall/winter sports (between September and March 1) and do not intend to swim any part of spring/summer. Swimmers selecting this option will be allowed a maximum 19 weeks "in the water".
All dues are non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered if an injury occurs that has a duration of more than six weeks. Doctor's medical note will be required.
The annual USA Swimming registration fee will be reflected on your invoice.
The Edina Swim Club will add all meet fees onto your invoice throughout the season. Meets fees can range from $12 to $35 per meet depending on the number of events entered. (See Entry Fee Escrow Account information below.)
Monthly Billing Option
Please circle yes or no on your Fall/Winter registration form for monthly billing. The charge for monthly billing is $75.00 for the annual year or any portion thereof. Families must send a minimum of $150.00 per month. Families who do not select the monthly billing option must have their invoices paid in full by mid-October. If your account is not paid in full by mid-October - the $75.00 monthly billing charge will be applied.
Multiple Swimmer Discount
Families with multiple swimmers, registering for the annual (September through July) year are eligible for the multiple swimmer discount. First swimmer pays full price, second swimmer receives a $100.00 discount, third swimmer receives a $200.00 discount, additional swimmers will receive a $200.00 discount.
Entry Fee Escrow Account
All families participating in meets will have an entry fee escrow account reflected on their invoice. If your entry fee escrow account shows a credit, the credit will serve as payment for all meet entries. If your credit falls below $10.00, the computer automatically bills you for new funds to replenish this account. Entry fee credits cannot be applied to dues or team family commitments balance due. Swimmers will be billed for each meet that they register for. Last minute meet cancellations are not accepted.
Monthly practice calendars
Practice schedules by training group are prepared monthly and posted on the website. Please click on "schedule" on the public home page, click on your team and click on the month. PRINT A CALENDAR every month!! Do not assume that practice will be held at the same, time and place each month. Pools and buildings are closed at different times throughout the year.

Our website contains most information on the public page. Once you are a member of the Gators, you will receive a username and password for the member area of the site. You should receive this information within one to two weeks of registering.
Meets
Click on meet sign ups in the member only area of the website. Icons shown under the meet name will be the meet information and meet order of events (if applicable). Icons will appear under meet entries, eligibility, meet results, etc. when the information has been posted.
Meet entries will show the events that your swimmer will be swimming at a particular meet. The coaches choose the events for your swimmers, enter them in the meet, and post the entries 3-5 days prior to each meet.
Poinsettia Team Family Commitment
All families (excluding Gator I) are required to participate in the winter short course poinsettia family commitment. (This applies to any swimmer who swims any or all of the winter short course season.) Families must sell thirty poinsettia plants in order to fulfill the $150.00 family commitment. Sales of 15 to 29 plants will meet "half" the commitment - the balance of $100.00 will be invoiced. Families who sell 0 to 15 plants will be invoiced $150.00. More details on the website.
Hosted Meets Team Family Commitments
All families (excluding Gator I only families) are expected to volunteer to work at our one winter meet (held sometime between September and March) and our one summer meet (held sometime between April and July).
Details on work commitments and dollar commitments are available in the member area of the website under "Volunteer" . Specifics for each meet will be published as soon as they become available. Families not fulfilling their work commitment will be billed for the team family commitment immediately after the completion of the meet. Winter meet commitment is $200.00 per family and summer meet commitment is $200.00 per family.
Partners with Edina Adaptive Recreation program
The Edina Swim Club is a working partner with Edina Park and Recreation's Edina Adaptive Recreation. Inclusion in this program provides us with support for children with disabilities who participate in recreation programs in Edina. $1.00 of your dues per year supports this program.
