Code of Conduct
Edina Swim Club CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Any swimmer who uses alcohol, illegal drugs or tobacco is subject to suspension from the team.
2. Swimmers should never interfere with the progress of another swimmer during practice or otherwise.
3. ESC expects each swimmer to behave in a manner that reflects positively on the team at all ESC functions, including practices, meets and/or social gatherings.
4. ESC expects all members of the club, whether parents or swimmers, to protect and improve the club's excellent reputation within the swimming community.
5. Any swimmer who participates in any form of harassment or hazing is subject to immediate suspension from the team. Parents will be notified immediately in such cases.
6. The use of fireworks is forbidden.
7. Curfews set by the coaches or chaperones during team trips will be strictly obeyed.
8. Inappropriate or destructive behavior will not be tolerated. Swimmers will be held accountable for all their actions while representing ESC. In addition to their own behavior, swimmers are held accountable for inappropriate actions by those teammates with whom they are associating. Please report any knowledge of such activities to coaches and parents IMMEDIATELY!
9. Swimmers acknowledge that all team trips are a privilege and accept the responsibilities associated with them.
10. Swimmers are expected to respect and obey the coaches, chaperones and bus drivers on any team trips.
USA SWIMMING CODE OF CONDUCT
